My abstract, mixed media paintings are influenced by an extensive background in Asian art. 
I juxtapose opposing elements: soft and hard materials, muted and intense color, transparent 
and opaque areas, fluid and hard edge shapes, both spontaneous and controlled. The paintings 
allude to the ongoing dynamics of life itself: struggle, tension, resolution, growth, unity and transformation.
